The history of the Australian Labradoodles

The Labradoodle was first bred in 1989, when Australian breeder Wally Conron bred the Labrador Retriever with a Standard Poodle, in hopes of creating the ultimate Guide Dog that would be low shedding, easily trained and gentle.  This breeding led to the development of the multi generational Australian labradoodles, which lend themselves to be wonderful as therapy dogs or family pets.  We find that Australian Labradoodles are the right "mix" of desirable qualities -- friendly, peaceful, non/low allergenic, low/non shedding, healthy and loyal.

Australian labradoodles are multi generational labradoodles, which ensures more of a guarantee that your dog will be low/non allergenic and possess the traits that are revered in doodles.  An Australian labradoodle has more of a 'filled out' look in many ways than a first or second generation doodle, and is considered the ultimate in doodles.  These are dogs that are commonly bought by owners who want the very best in doodles and expect a certain temperament and 'look.'  In other words, you get the best qualities of a doodle - guaranteed.

We have many customers who come to us after purchasing a doodle from a cheaper site or breeder.  Many of them have ended up with dogs that have affected their allergies or didn't have the 'doodle' look.  This is due to the dog favoring one side over the other (lab over poodle, for example) or poor breeding.   Many of these customers, sadly, have spent as much money in doctor bills for a lower quality dog as they could have spent in the first place purchasing one of our dogs.  In short, you get what you pay for.

Australian labradoodles are bred doodle to doodle, and Emma's pedigree goes back for 8 generations of Australian labradoodle - which is why an Australian doodle you purchase from us will NOT affect your allergies, shed and will have conformity in look and temperament.   This is well worth the extra money you spend to know that your dog will be guaranteed and will be healthy and NOT kept in a kennel away from people.

There are many wonderful sites where you can find more information about the specifics of the Australian Labradoodle, and we suggest that you peruse them before you make a decision to add one to your family.  There is a reason why "doodle romps" are becoming so popular in the United States!!  We are confident that you will find that these dogs are the perfect addition to your home, and that you will adore having one of ours as your new pet.
